Eligibility criteria for Fulbright Scholarship?

The Fulbright scholarship is offered to students enrolled at various degrees. So please make sure you go through this eligibility checklist to see if you are eligible to apply for this competition.

# 1 Eligibility for Course Examination: An interested applicant should submit information provided on a university website that requires a particular degree, either a Ph.D. or Master’s degree specified.

In the Master’s degree program, eligible candidates will have a four-year Bachelor’s degree or a combination of a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree covering 16 years of formal education at an accredited university. Newly graduated students are strongly encouraged to apply, with the exception of MBA applicants and the Public / Administrative Policy, who require 2 years of work experience.

Ph.D. The degree program, eligible applicants will have a Master’s, M.Phil, or comparable degree (minimum of 18 years of formal education) from an accredited university. It is highly desirable for baptismal candidates to have work experience in teaching, research, or public works at the University.

Both Master’s and Ph.D. programs, all fields of education are suitable, except for medical treatment. A Graduate Record Examination (GRE General) is required for all applicants. Under the new scoring system, 138 minimum number of words and 136 are required in the calculation categories. Applicants must also have a high level of fluency in spoken and written English. A test for English as a foreign language (TOEFL) will be required for all selected candidates.

# 2 Language Knowledge: English is generally regarded as appropriate for teaching-related programs. However, the type of project is the most determinant of this requirement, so strict adherence to foreign languages may be required.
