Eligibility criteria

Applicants must have their previous degree in health sciences, engineering, or natural sciences. Candidates with a previous degree in other relevant subject areas may also be considered. The applicant should also have satisfactory knowledge of English language as well as any additional language required by your chosen faculty. Applicants are expected to start their degree in September/October 2017. Of course, there is no guarantee that you will be offered a place on one of our programmes. If you do not meet our application requirements and are not admitted, we cannot refund fees paid for non-refundable items such as pre-university examinations and school reports or tuition fees for future study at Maastricht University or elsewhere.

Scholarship Benefits

Students awarded a Maastricht University Scholarship will receive financial support towards one or more of their study costs: tuition fees, admission fee, travel costs, registration fees, living expenses and a monthly allowance. The scholarship is 100% tuition fee-waiver for international students in all bachelor’s programmes (except the ‘MSc IT Entrepreneurship & Innovation’) and a 50% tuition fee-waiver for international students in all master’s programmes (except MSc International Business). In addition, they will receive an annual scholarship amounting to €16000,-. This amount includes a monthly allowance of €1000,- plus a lump sum payment at start of studies covering personal expenses for two months.
