What is Hatfield Lioness?

The Lioness is a scholarship opportunity designed to enhance your study abroad experience at Queen Mary University of London. As well as financial support, you will receive expert guidance from our team to help you find accommodation and settle into life in London. In addition, we will provide a tailored welcome session to introduce you to all things Hatfield, including exclusive events and opportunities.

The program is open to students from all disciplines and backgrounds who are either applying for or have been granted admission onto an undergraduate degree course at Queen Mary University of London, regardless of nationality or home university. Your scholarship would give you access to QMUL programs like BA International Relations – Global Politics with Philosophy (Hons), MA Gender & Development Studies: Rights-based Approaches in Practice and MSc Community Nutrition.

How to get the scholarship?

Qualified international students with a keen interest in any course offered by University of Cambridge can apply for The Hatfield Lioness Scholarship. Eligible applicants must have completed a minimum of two years of higher education and should be able to demonstrate financial need. Students planning to do master’s or PhD research at Cambridge can also qualify for The Hatfield Lioness Scholarship. Please note that award winners will receive £3,000 and not £1,000 as mentioned by an earlier applicant.

How many scholarships are there?

The Hatfield Lioness scholarships are available to any international student from any country. The number of scholarship funds allocated to each country vary depending on each year’s budget for the program. It is estimated that about 15 scholarships will be awarded annually.

Each of these scholarships is worth $25,000 USD and should cover a full four-year undergraduate degree at one of Great Britain’s universities. All recipients must speak English fluently as they will be studying there; however, they can choose to study at either a state or private university or both—it depends on what fits them best. In addition, all students who accept a Hatfield Lioness scholarship must enroll full-time and receive a certificate or diploma within two years after accepting their award.
