Scholarship Study
The Tokyo University Scholarship is a fully funded scholarship for foreign students and will cover a wide range of student expenses.
Full Exemption from Tuition and Admission Fees.
Monthly Grant:
144,000 Yen / Month (Master’s Program student).
145,000 Yen / Month (Doctor of Student Program).
An additional monthly allowance of 2,000 or 3,000 yen may be added to students studying or doing research in certain parts of the country.
Tuition: The full tuition and registration fee will not be released.
Travel Expenses: Traveling Tickets will be provided on / From Japan To Their Homeland.
Eligibility criteria
- Foreign students from all over the world are eligible to apply for a bursary from the Government of Japan.
- Applicants must be born on 2 April 1985.
- Applicants must apply for a field of study or Subject they have studied at their previous university or related field.
Language Needs
Applicants must meet the English language requirements.
The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) contains English test scores for B2 or higher on the scale (eg TOEFL BT 72 or higher, IELTS 5.5 or higher).
OR
All those students whose language center was in English can submit an English professional certificate to their university and be exempted from the language test.
Deadline
The deadline to apply for the University of Tokyo Scholarship for foreign students is 29h October for registration for September annually.
