The scholarship application process
The Marcus Oldham College Scholarships are awarded to students based on both academic merit and financial need. The application form is straight-forward and applicants must supply a transcript (or certified copy) of their school marks, two referee reports, and a 200-word essay explaining how they hope to use their degree in their future career. Marcus Oldham College is a Tertiary and Further Education (TAFE) provider, located in Melbourne, Victoria. Marcus Oldham has seven campuses across Melbourne’s inner-north, catering to more than 20,000 students annually.
This year alone we will award our 20th consecutive Marcus Oldham Excellence Scholarships worth over $550,000. To be eligible for any Marcus Oldham scholarship all you need to do is complete an entry form online and submit your best work in English or Mathematics. Successful applicants will receive a full tuition fee scholarship of up to $7000 per annum for two years of full-time study at Marcus Oldham.
How to apply for your course
Students wishing to apply for one of these scholarships must have completed all high school examinations by 31 August 2023. Students must be at least sixteen years of age on 31 August 2023 and be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course commencing in Semester 1, 2023.
Scholarships will be awarded to students who best demonstrate academic excellence, leadership skills and community service. A $3000 scholarship is offered for each undergraduate course with up to three scholarships per course available. The closing date for applications is 1 August 2022 at 5pm (AEST).
When are the applications due?
1 August 2022 is when you must have your Marcus Oldham College Scholarship application in by. You can get an extension if necessary, but we do recommend that you have everything completed and ready for review by that time. It’s important to note that extensions are very rarely given. As a general rule of thumb, contact us as soon as possible with any questions or concerns you may have about completing your application in a timely manner.
